We went on a public tour today. It was very nice. Saw 5 turtles in total. The statue in the sea was a bit meh, too crowded and not much to see. First and last place were the absolute best! For the money (we payed 250K in total for 2 people) it was totally worth it.

I was on my way to Gili Air from Lombok, I'd just missed the public boat tour but they managed to organise a private tour for me very last min just for me, a solo traveller which I really appreciate! The guide was amazing and really patient with me as it'd been a few years since I last went snorkelling and with some open water swimming fears. We spotted lots of fishes, and the most memorable were seeing the giant turtles, and especially swimming with one! It was nice to also briefly stop at Gili Meno to experience that island.
